Registered Nurse – Step Down Respiratory (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Step Down Respiratory unit. This full‑time position provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, safety‑focused nursing care to respiratory patients.
• Apply evidence‑based standards and population‑specific protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care respiratory nursing experience.
