Registered Nurse – Specialty Radiology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Specialty Radiology team at the Deerfield location. The RN will provide direct patient care before, during, and after radiologic procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough pre‑procedure and post‑procedure assessments focused on patient systems.
• Titrate intravenous medications based on hemodynamic status.
• Administer contrast agents, recognize reactions, and manage extravasations.
• Provide IV access and assist technologists with venous access devices.
• Deliver patient education before and after imaging exams.
• Collaborate with medical, technical, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Serve as a preceptor and service educator when assigned, guiding new associates and coordinating unit orientation.

Required profile

• Current RN license with adherence to all standards, policies, and directives.
• Ability to assess short‑ and long‑term patient needs rapidly.
• Strong communication skills for face‑to‑face hand‑off reporting.
• Commitment to patient privacy, comfort, and responsive service.
