Registered Nurse – Radiology Specialty (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its radiology department. This full‑time position provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment, following evidence‑based standards of quality, safety, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, keep accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while complying with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in radiology or acute care.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health‑safety guidelines.
