Registered Nurse – Pulmonary Medicine (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Pulmonary Medicine team at the U‑Tower location. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary team members, and support patient and family education in a compassionate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Report changes in symptoms, vital signs, and overall condition to the care team.
• Review, evaluate, and communicate diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Facilitate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate patient care plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in acute or specialty care.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing procedures, and health‑safety guidelines.
