Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Respiratory (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Respiratory team at the U‑Tower location. The RN will provide coordinated, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the progressive care unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to deliver evidence‑based treatment.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit safety programs.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum two years of medical‑surgical nursing experience.
• Associate degree nurses must complete a BSN within two years of hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
