Registered Nurse – Pre‑Op/PACU – East Orlando Ambulatory Surgery Center

About the role

Join AdventHealth’s East Orlando Ambulatory Surgery Center as a Registered Nurse providing pre‑operative and post‑anesthesia care. You will work in a collaborative environment that supports the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, evaluating physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following physician orders and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in post‑anesthesia care, emergency, or intensive care; endoscopy experience a plus.
• Active Florida RN license and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Full‑time availability for a 12‑month contract, Monday‑Friday variable shift (07:00‑17:00).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) clinical competencies.
• Endoscopy procedural knowledge (preferred).
