Registered Nurse – Per Diem (Boca Raton)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Neurology department is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide patient‑family centered care at its MS Center in Boca Raton, FL. This position supports both the infusion center and the ambulatory clinic, delivering skilled nursing services in a culturally competent environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and patient responses.
• Review diagnostic tests, consult with physicians and other professionals, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.
• Operate medical equipment safely and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• Experience in infusion therapy and ambulatory clinic settings preferred.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety.
