About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Palm Beach Gardens facility. The RN will deliver patient‑family centered care, ensuring safety, quality, and cultural competence while supporting a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
- Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
- Administer medications and perform patient tests, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with discharge planning and coordinate resources for patient transitions.
- Prioritize assignments, adapt to changing demands, and operate medical equipment safely.
- Serve as a preceptor, providing guidance and feedback to new staff.
- Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Valid State of Florida RN license.
Required skills
- Florida RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification.
