Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cardiology (Full‑time)

About the role

The Outpatient Cardiology department at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner. The RN will work closely with physicians and allied health staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for cardiology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in cardiology or outpatient settings.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Applicable department certifications as required.
