Registered Nurse – Orthopedic Neuro – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse (U) to provide patient‑family centered care in the Orthopedic Neuro outpatient clinic. The RN will deliver culturally competent, evidence‑based care while supervising allied health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests within scope of practice, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning, operate medical equipment safely, and serve as a preceptor for new staff.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN graduates must complete BSN within 2 years).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Ability to adapt to changing work demands and prioritize assignments.
