Registered Nurse – Oncology Specialty (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Registered Nurse 2 to provide patient‑family centered oncology care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment. This full‑time position oversees nursing and allied health staff while delivering direct patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans according to patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring cultural and age considerations.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while adhering to HIPAA and other regulations.
• Serve as a preceptor, assisting new staff in acclimating to the clinical environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
