Registered Nurse – Oncology Specialty (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient‑centered oncology care on a full‑time basis. The RN will deliver culturally competent care, oversee allied health staff, and ensure adherence to evidence‑based standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments, document observations, and make referrals while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and treatments, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory policies.
• Reassess intervention effectiveness, update care plans, and communicate plans to patients, families, and the care team.
• Participate in policy development, serve on committees, and lead unit‑level projects that improve patient care and safety.
• Provide discharge planning from admission, involving patients and support networks.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN graduates have 2 years to complete BSN).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license, ACLS and BLS certifications.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
