Registered Nurse – ODP & Spine Clinic (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 to provide patient‑family centered care in the ODP & Spine Clinic. This full‑time position focuses on delivering culturally competent, evidence‑based nursing in a fast‑paced academic medical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, report symptoms and vital signs, and modify treatment plans according to physician orders.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic tests, consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures and treatments, providing culturally sensitive information and psychological support.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, ensuring HIPAA compliance and smooth transitions of care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• No prior experience required.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency with office software, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
