Registered Nurse – Neurology Telemetry (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Neurology Telemetry unit. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and report symptoms and vital‑sign changes.
• Modify treatment plans according to patient responses and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
