Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele Nights

About the role

AdventHealth in Orlando is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med Surg Tele Nights position. The schedule is nights, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, 36 hours per week. The pay range is $31.85 to $52.76.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent English, read, spoken and written.
• 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Eligible clinicians may earn up to 20% salary increase through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.
• Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible candidates under a 12-month full-time employment contract; internal candidates and rehires within 12 months are not eligible.

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Ability to work as a team player within a unit.
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• EKG competency.
• Basic computer skills, navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions and revise care plans.
