Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med Surg Tele position in Orlando, Florida. The shift is days, 7:00am to 7:00pm, covering 36 hours per week. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases of up to 20% through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program, and up to $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates under a 12-month full-time employment contract.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to work as a team player, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• EKG competency.
• Basic computer skills, navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions and revise care plans.
