Registered Nurse Liaison – Perioperative

About the role
The Surgery Nurse Liaison provides independent, nurse‑driven clinical care and coordination for perioperative patients in specialty clinics. This position manages the entire patient journey—from initial consultation and work‑up through the surgical procedure and follow‑up—ensuring smooth patient flow while adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee surgical scheduling and coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain operational oversight of patient flow from consultation through post‑operative follow‑up.
- Deliver direct clinical nursing care in nurse‑driven clinics and support physicians with nursing expertise as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant SOPs and documentation standards.
Required profile
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program (or equivalent foreign qualification with recognized equivalency).
- Current, unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a state nursing license; candidates without licensure may be appointed temporarily as a Graduate Nurse Technician.
