Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to join its Interventional Radiology team. This full‑time position provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment, supporting a range of radiology procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests within scope of practice, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while complying with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Assist with discharge planning and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and uphold university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience.
• At least one year of experience in PACU, ICU, or Emergency Department.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, radiology procedures, and safety practices.

Required skills

• BLS certification.

• Proficiency in radiology procedures and related safety protocols.
• Operation of medical equipment used in interventional radiology.
