Registered Nurse – Intermittent Schedule

About the role

This position offers an intermittent work schedule and involves full responsibility for the nursing process while providing or supervising direct patient care. The role focuses on delivering age‑specific care, coordinating patient education, promoting self‑management, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the care continuum.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on age‑specific components.
• Provide and supervise direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Coordinate care activities, emphasizing patient education and self‑management.
• Maintain high levels of patient and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proficiency in written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) or equivalent foreign qualification with appropriate validation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Eligibility for temporary appointment as a Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) if licensure is pending, with a possible extension up to two years.
