Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (Full‑time)

About the role

The Intermediate Care Unit at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality patient care in the U‑Tower facility. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the intermediate care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prescribe, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide patient and family education and teaching.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN acceptable with a two‑year BSN completion plan).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care nursing experience; step‑down service experience preferred.
