Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami’s Intermediate Care Unit is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality patient care in the UTower facility. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients requiring step‑down services.

Key responsibilities

• Prescribe, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care following nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN holders must complete BSN within 2 years).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in step‑down services.
