Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care Department in U‑Tower. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient and family education.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other staff to deliver comprehensive care.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Provide teaching and support to patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN acceptable with 2‑year BSN completion plan).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care nursing experience; step‑down service experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
