Registered Nurse III – PRN (Mobile Clinic)

About the role

The Registered Nurse III provides comprehensive nursing services for the Nursing Mobile Clinic program, delivering patient care, evaluations, and treatment to students, faculty, staff, community members, and families. The role includes operating and maintaining the mobile clinic vehicle, managing inventory, and traveling to schools and homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, and treatments in accordance with professional nursing standards.
• Operate and maintain the mobile clinic, including inventory management of medical supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Drive to schools and patient homes in a university vehicle to deliver health services.
• Maintain patient records, ensure confidentiality, and use the EMR system for documentation.
• Participate in community outreach, program meetings, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Four years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid Texas Class C driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Associate degree in Nursing (or equivalent experience); Bachelor’s preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred).
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to operate and maintain medical equipment and vehicle.
