Registered Nurse – Hematology Oncology Clinic (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hematology Oncology Clinic on a full-time basis. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with physicians and support a compassionate environment for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs.
• Report symptoms, changes in condition, and modify treatment plans per physician orders.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the healthcare team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using best practices.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or hematology.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing care procedures.
• Familiarity with health and safety guidelines, including sanitation and decontamination.
