Registered Nurse – Head & Neck Clinics (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Head & Neck Clinics team. You will provide direct patient care, support clinical procedures, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, and assist with discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Operate medical equipment safely and adapt to changing work demands.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health‑safety guidelines.
