About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Doral Clinic team. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with physicians, and support a compassionate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning using available resources.
• Prioritize assignments, adapt to changing demands, and operate medical equipment.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to learn new procedures, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
