Registered Nurse – Full-Time, Multi‑Specialty

About the role

The University of Miami Health system is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a multi‑specialty unit on a full‑time basis. This position provides direct patient care, collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams, and supports a compassionate environment for diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic test results to monitor patient condition.
• Consult with physicians and other professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age, culture, and psychological needs.
• Perform patient tests, safely administer medications, and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Assist with discharge planning and utilize resources to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Prioritize assignments, adapt to changing demands, and operate medical equipment safely.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
