Registered Nurse ED Mids

About the role

AdventHealth in Tampa is hiring a full-time night shift Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department (ED Mids). The schedule runs from 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and eligible candidates receive a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 and a relocation bonus of up to $10,000.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients' physical, mental and emotional health.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care by collaborating with physicians, nurses, social workers and therapists.
• Monitor patient progress and regularly review and adjust care plans based on outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Registered Nurse Florida license (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• APEX Innovations NIHSS certification.
• At least 12 lead EKG experiences and acute hospital experience (preferred).
• Fluent English, ability to work alone and in a busy environment, and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Internship or preceptorship depending on nursing experience; most employees need at least 12 months after orientation to reach proficiency.

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise care plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and use independent judgment.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.
