Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy/Infusion (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide chemotherapy and infusion services within the Lennar Clinical Treatment Unit. This position focuses on delivering safe, compassionate care to oncology patients while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs and symptoms.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, condition, and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient status.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and comply with regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, etc.).
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members in a timely manner.
• Assist with discharge planning and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, supporting their integration into the clinical setting.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in oncology or infusion services.
