Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy Infusion (RN2)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System in Doral is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 Specialty to provide chemotherapy infusion services. The role begins in June 2024 and supports the new state‑of‑the‑art facility opening September 2024.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑family centered, culturally competent care in accordance with evidence‑based standards.
• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Consult with physicians and allied health professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, providing psychological support as needed.
• Perform patient tests and safely administer chemotherapy and other medications.
• Maintain accurate medication and treatment records in line with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate care plans promptly to patients and families.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse 2 Specialty license, eligible to practice in Florida.
• Full‑time availability with a hire date of June 2024.
• Experience in oncology or chemotherapy infusion preferred.
• Ability to supervise nurses and allied health staff in daily practice.
• Strong cultural competence and patient‑focused communication skills.
