Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy Infusion (Per Diem)

About the role

The Coral Springs CTU Clinic is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to provide chemotherapy infusion services. The RN will assess patients, document care, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.
• Operate relevant medical equipment and adhere to university and unit policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN graduates have 2 years to complete BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• ONS certification, BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Required skills

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficiency in operating chemotherapy infusion equipment.
