About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Hospital is seeking a Per‑diem Registered Nurse to join its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Services. This role provides patient‑family centered care in a fast‑paced, culturally competent environment, supporting critical cardiac patients.

Key responsibilities

Assess and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
Report changes in patient status and modify care plans according to physician orders.
Review diagnostic tests, consult with physicians, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records.
Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the healthcare team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Support discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.
Serve as a preceptor, providing guidance and feedback to new staff.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience.
Valid State of Florida RN license.
