Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Cardiovascular Intensive Care services in the UTower facility. This full‑time staff position involves delivering high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate assigned patients, documenting nursing care and modifying treatment plans based on patient responses and physician orders.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age, culture, and individual needs.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Provide patient and family education, psychological support, and assist with discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, offering feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred (ASN graduates must complete BSN within 2 years).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiovascular nursing care.
