Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to provide patient‑family centered care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit. The role involves delivering culturally competent, evidence‑based nursing while collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs, report changes, and evaluate diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using best practices.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN graduates have 2 years to complete BSN).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
