Registered Nurse – Apheresis

About the role

The Apheresis RN provides direct patient care during hematopoietic progenitor cell collections and therapeutic plasma exchange procedures. The role supports both inpatient and outpatient populations while contributing to research and education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients during HPC collection, therapeutic plasma exchanges, photopheresis, white blood cell reduction, and platelet reduction.
• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient and outpatient individuals with diverse medical conditions.
• Perform advanced apheresis techniques to improve patient outcomes.
• Participate in research activities and educate students and residents.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, BSN, or MSN) with a valid RN license.
• Minimum of one year of registered nursing experience.
• Preferred: BSN, RNBLS certification, experience in critical care, myeloma, dialysis, and familiarity with indwelling ports and catheters.

Required skills

• RNBLS certification.
• Experience handling indwelling ports and catheters.
