Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Oncology & Infusion

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is hosting a hiring event for Registered Nurse positions focused on ambulatory oncology, multispecialty infusion, and chemotherapy services. Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on responses and physician orders.
• Review diagnostic tests, consult with physicians, and coordinate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and infusion therapies safely, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and prioritize assignments to deliver superior patient care.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Current RN license and eligibility to practice in Florida.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and cultural competence.
