Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Multispecialty)

About the role

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, age‑specific care for a designated group of patients in a multispecialty outpatient setting. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating closely with physicians and the health‑care team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews, explain policies, and review charts with courtesy and accuracy.
• Assess physiological systems (gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological) and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Evaluate psychosocial status, cultural needs, and coping mechanisms to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Develop individualized outcome statements, set goals, and prioritize care activities.
• Coordinate cost‑effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication.
• Implement and continuously reassess the plan of care, administer treatments, and document all interventions.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, and act swiftly in emergency situations.

Required profile

• Licensed Registered Nurse with experience in ambulatory or multispecialty settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to lead or delegate within a patient‑care unit.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to assess and document both physiological and psychosocial health status.
