About the role
The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Registered Nurse 3 to work the night shift in Augusta. This full‑time position offers the chance to provide high‑quality nursing care to a diverse client population while contributing to statewide health initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Assess client health problems and needs under broad supervision.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
- Provide health maintenance advice, disease prevention education, and case management as needed.
Required profile
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Three years of professional nursing experience, or one year of experience at the Registered Nurse 2 level (or equivalent).
Required skills
- Clinical assessment and care planning.
- Administration of nursing care to a variety of patient conditions.
- Medical record documentation.
- Case management and health education.
