Part-Time Home Health Physical Therapist

About the role

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, offers home health, hospice and community-based services. It is hiring a part-time Physical Therapist in Augusta, Georgia, to deliver skilled physical therapy to patients in their homes. The therapist helps patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function, working with patients, caregivers and an interdisciplinary care team to support recovery, prevent hospitalizations and improve quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function
• Provide interventions and conduct reexaminations every 30 days at minimum
• Modify interventions as necessary and perform discharge planning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of assignment
• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
• At least one year of related physical therapy experience; less than one year requires approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring or a residency program
• Current CPR certification
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

What we offer

• Hourly pay of $53.45 to $58.30 based on full-time employment, varying with market, education, experience and certifications
