Registered Nurse 2 – Specialty in Deerfield Beach

About the role

The Radiation Oncology Department at UHealth Deerfield Beach is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment. The RN2 will oversee daily nursing practice, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and clinical conditions.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic test results.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while complying with HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning and utilize resources effectively.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and uphold university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Active Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
