Registered Nurse 2 – SoLe Mia

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 for its SoLe Mia unit. The RN2 will deliver patient‑family centered, culturally competent care while supervising nursing and allied health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Report changes in patient condition, vital signs, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and operate medical equipment.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care.
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor new staff, and give constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Active Florida RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
