Registered Nurse 2 – Radiology (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to provide patient‑family centered care in the Radiology department at the Lennar Coral Gables location.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring HIPAA compliance and effective care transitions.
• Assist with discharge planning, prioritize assignments, and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current RN licensure; CRN certification preferred.
• Experience in a hospital radiology setting is desirable.
