Registered Nurse 2 – Patient Care Position

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth SoLé Mia is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, providing culturally appropriate information and psychological support.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning using available resources.
• Prioritize assignments, adapt to changing demands, and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, offering feedback and guidance.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
