Registered Nurse 2 – Interventional Radiology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to join its Interventional Radiology team. This full‑time position provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment, supporting a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, conditions, and physician orders.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic tests to determine patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and nurture a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests within scope of practice, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while complying with HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning and prioritize assignments to ensure superior patient care.
• Operate medical equipment safely and serve as a preceptor for new staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
