About the role
The University of Miami’s UHealth Sole Mia facility is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care. This role focuses on culturally competent, evidence‑based nursing practice while supervising allied health staff.
Key responsibilities
- Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
- Review diagnostic tests, report findings, and collaborate with physicians and other professionals to develop care plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
- Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, and facilitate smooth transitions of care.
- Assist with discharge planning, prioritize assignments, and adapt to changing work demands.
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Valid State of Florida RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Required skills
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
