Registered Nurse 2 – Chemotherapy (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to provide specialized chemotherapy care at the Sylvester Oncology Center in Hollywood, FL. The RN will work closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate treatment to oncology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs and symptoms.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and chemotherapy treatments.
• Provide culturally sensitive education and psychological support.
• Administer medications and chemotherapy agents safely, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while complying with HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning and serve as a preceptor for new staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in oncology or chemotherapy.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork, and communication skills.
