Registered EMG Technologist

About the role

The Registered EMG Technologist joins Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Palm Beach Gardens campus to perform electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) for patients of all ages. The position works Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, supporting a high‑tech, patient‑centered neurology department.

Key responsibilities

• Operate nerve conduction instrumentation, adjust settings for accurate recordings, and select nerves based on patient history and test requests.
• Prepare patients, perform EMG examinations, record all test data, and maintain clean, well‑stocked EMG/QPN rooms and equipment.
• Document patient logs, assist caregivers with financial tickets and reports, and ensure equipment maintenance and calibration.

Required profile

• Associate's degree from an accredited END program or two years of college with anatomy/physiology coursework.
• R NCS T certification from the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Non‑Registered EMG Technician in a comparable laboratory.
• Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and EMG techniques to assist with result interpretation and training.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating EMG and nerve conduction study equipment.
• R NCS T certification (Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist).
• Knowledge of EMG techniques, neuroanatomy, and physiological testing.
