Registered Dietitian – Outpatient

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join its Outpatient Nutrition team. The role involves providing individualized nutritional care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the outpatient clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Document assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients, families, students, and professional staff on nutrition topics.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and present nutrition recommendations.
• Perform clerical duties, including preparing presentations and reports.

Required profile

• Registered Dietitian (RD) license in Arkansas.
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics and completion of a dietetic internship.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under general direction of the Outpatient Team Lead.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.
