Registered Architect - Idaho National Lab Project

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Registered Architect to support its SFHP Project, which is part of Amentum Nuclear Projects, a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy for nuclear cleanup and production sites. The architect works with architects and designers from Idaho Falls and other Amentum offices to complete the technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the technical portions of projects, from concept through detailed design completion, within budget and schedule
• Work with architects and designers from Idaho Falls and other Amentum offices
• Follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensure work under their control meets them
• Work within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1
• Work onsite at the Idaho National Lab daily if needed, with occasional travel and work near construction equipment and machinery

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program
• Licensed Architect in Idaho with current registration, or licensed in another state with ability to obtain ID licensure within six months
• Experience designing commercial or industrial facilities and delivering projects from concept to detailed design
• Experience with the International Building Code (IBC)
• US citizenship required; valid driver's license and ability to work in the office required
• Preferred: experience leading groups of architects and designers, DOE/NRC standards knowledge, Master's degree, LEED AP certification, NCARB registration

• Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and similar discipline-specific software
• Microsoft Office
