Regional Technical Project Manager - Electrocoat

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Technical Project Manager – Electrocoat to join our Technical Team in Jackson, Michigan. The role supports North America (US, Canada, Mexico) and reports to the Head of Technology NA, working closely with the Key Industry Sales Group and RTS team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate PPAP, approval and customer electrocoat projects across internal labs (New Providence, Southfield, BMT) and external suppliers.
• Manage project submission, data review, report writing and sample preparation, ensuring clear communication of results to internal stakeholders.
• Develop project timelines, prioritize tasks and allocate resources required for successful delivery.
• Plan and execute corrosion testing projects, adhering to documented test procedures and customer specifications.
• Handle sample analysis, maintain databases of surrogate data and approval status, and notify stakeholders of data availability.
• Prepare clear lab reports with recommendations, in collaboration with analytical specialists.
• Control laboratory and testing costs for both internal and external activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating PPAP and approval projects in a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrocoat processes and corrosion testing methods.
• Ability to prepare samples, analyse results and communicate findings effectively.
• Familiarity with product approval processes according to customer specifications.
• Excellent written reporting skills and cost‑management awareness.
